I have Wiped The Slate Clean

I have wiped the slate clean

Will you draw the promises
That lingered in our breaths
As we kissed the stars

Or will you scribble the wounds
That painted my tears
Of muted submissions.

The choice yours, the fate mine.
And tonight in your feast I will gladly dine.

This Poem is shared with Carry On Tuesday.

Smoke and Fire

I am not the smoke that you relish
Puffing in its glory
Seeking nirvana

No, I am not your toy
And I never would be

I am the fire
That burns deep within
Fueled with Vengeance galore

I will ignite the dirt
And turn you into ashes

A New Year. A New Resolution
Eradicate all evils
And Make
A Better
Place to Live
For Me. For You
And For the Future that hides behind the mirror.

New Flame Burns Within

Candle weeps its last
Melting glow fighting for life
New flame burns within.

New flame burns within
As I sweep across dark clouds
Embracing dear moon.

Embracing dear moon
If you write my fate tonight
Gift me seven stars.

Gift me seven stars
I will fly them with my kites
No rain today, please.

Ancient Road

Ancient road
I crossed once before
My feet hurt.

My feet hurt
Dusty and weary
Sun sets now.

Sun sets now
Birds fly to their nest
Here am lost.

Here am lost
Help me find my way
Ancient road.

And ...

And a ray of hope flickers in the sky
And I sprout wings, and I learn to fly
And fly do I in our distant past
And dive back into the story that failed to last
And I go through the nooks and corners that glow
And I try to run, but oh am so slow
And calling out your name, I swim across tears
And I try one last time, abandoning all fears
And it was too late
And you started to hate
And you said you can't
And this wasn't what I want
And I wake up with souls new found
And they made me believe that the world is round
And ah, that's a rumor, the earth is flat
And couldn't this be an excuse for an unearthly chat
And we can soar beyond the stars
And a new found journey that won't be a farce
And we sail smooth in our garden of trust
And I know it's true, 'cause I have seen worst
And I sprout wings, and I learn to fly
And a ray of hope flickers in the sky.

Born To Live

Not turning back
We march ahead, ahead, ahead
Our voices speak softly
For those downtrodden steps
Clinging to our souls
Let's swim through the hardship
That hatred possesses
In your evil minds, disobedient
Having tasted the nectar
You add poison to it
To burn poor lives
With folded hands they pray
But why would you care?

You sink in the echo
Of your darkened rhythm
Swinging across the grave.

We will haunt you,
Tear you apart
Don't go by our silence
We are born to LIVE.

We unite against your evil
To decide the fate
Of mankind, of this world
Apocalypse delayed
Resurrection of humans
And humanity.

We got to slay the demons.

I Drive Down The Memory Lane

I drive down the memory lane
Swerving across dawn and dusk
Beyond dreams, some insane
Destiny mild, and at times brusque.

It rained last night, the roads are wet
"Drive Slow," is that what they said
And yet I let to be guided by my fate
Life is free, it doesn't get paid.

The tree calls out names
Loudly, sharply, piercing the soul
Of travelers who rushed towards fame
Losing their identities in the black hole.

The road is marred with hopes that failed
Pieces lie strewn in brownish mud
Through vivid promises we have often sailed
Sometimes shedding water, and at times blood.

I pick up the shards to build our castle
Of love, life and everything
We will be safe in this vessel
And listen to the song that you promised to sing.

Yes yes yes, the time is right
There are lessons to be learnt from this pain,
Let's not ever give up without a fight,
And I promise to drive you through the memory lane.

Snow Play

"Can I go out to play, Mom?"

"Ask Dad."

"Can I go out to play?"

"Let the sun set."

"Do you want to melt in this heat?"

If Wishes Were Stars

If wishes were stars
I would pluck them from heaven
Diamonds for your ring.

Diamonds for your ring
Your ecstatic eyes sparkle
My heart hums love tune.

My heart hums love tune
Wandering in wishful bliss
I, losing my way.

I, losing my way
Come across your pink cottage
You open the door.

You open the door
Unwrap twinkling messages
Sweet glances stolen.

Sweet glances stolen
Fairy flies back to her moon
Turns wishes to stars.

It's Raining Colors Tonight

It's raining colors
Sprinkling across the horizon
I run along
Dancing on this rainbow
The bridge that I got to cross
To be in your arms, my love.

It's raining colors
Painting the world red
And green, and blue
We chalk our destiny with stars
And play love games on the moon
Defying this law of gravity.

It's raining colors
And it always will
As we swim across the waves
Hand in hand
The kisses sealed with faith
Promises, forever, together, ever-after.

Latitudes And Longitudes

Latitudes and longitudes
Mere lines - not anymore
Unraveling the mystery
As I run through hills and valleys
Across your silken terrain
Up and down
Down and up
Aligning the travel curve
Geographical lust
I draw the path of bliss
In this garden of love.

The Last Tree

I know you won't kill me
Perhaps, I will live for ages
Shriveling under this pain
Withering with your praises.

Yes, praise you will
'Cause that's what I deserve
The last tree standing
But why were you so late to conserve?

You adorn me with garlands
Pray my rooted veins
Just because I am unique
You visit me again and again.

You crushed my home with rollers
Maimed my buddies and friends
And now you build this museum
Across the dead forest's ends.

A sanctuary that kids will relish
"Mom, is this what you call a tree?"
They jump around my shady leaves
Alas, they would never know life was once so free.

You dwell today in greyish layers
As you manufacture the air to breathe
The laws of nature you disobeyed
And now you are left to seethe.

Don't ask me for mercy
'Cause you cursed your life's blessing
Just, imagine how you would have felt
Had you been the last man standing.

A Ghost Love Story

"Why can't you love me, Dearie?"

"Because you are not a human. You are a ghost."

"But what's that got to do with my emotions, Dearie?"

"Ok. Tell me. Do you have a heart to feel this love?"

"Oops. Err ... I guess I lost it somewhere while playing basket-heart with the other zombies yesterday."

The Savior

He seemed oblivious to the green mist that threatened to entrap him in its meandering waves, thus deviating him from the true purpose of his arrival, and rendering him a failure.

However, his heart brimmed with unwavering faith and conviction, and he knew no obstacle could obstruct the sole purpose of his life now; he, the new Savior of mankind.

Time was running fast, and that's what he had to stop - yes, he was here to steal time, to avoid the inevitable, and not just delay it.

Today the phoenix would rise from its ashes, the scars would heal, and the world would bow to his acts, only if he accomplished this mission.

He had to get on with the task, and complete it before the calender turned to the fateful day, that would be tomorrow, the 21st of December, 2012.

Between You And Me

Between you and me
The world will sway
As we light up the sun
And paint the moon
In our canvas of love
Red, green and blue.

Between you and me
Creation will answer
Myriad questions
That lie buried in the sand
Where we build castles
In the sea of dreams.

Between you and me
Closets lay bare
Skeletons tumble out
Narrating their tales
Of fairies and demons
Who pass by our fate.

Between you and me
Nectar savored
At the edge of our lips
The joy of passion
Uncovered, discovered
Ecstasy gets a name.

Between you and me
Lies the mountain of trust
Weaving this magic of undying love.

Young Hope

The cold waking life
Upon the lovely earth
Hope for higher Heaven
I' the summer sky
In my very heart
What more could I have seen?
My spell - the chilly wind on the moon
Shone too coldly - let it pass
I have dreams in delirious eyes
Of Paradise and Love
All our young hope.
